i will be polite to you and explain in simple terms why a superior absorb rune does not state non stacking.
if the armor has inherent absorb benefits it will stack with the ARMOR benefit
it will stack with a shield having absorb benefits.
that is why it does not say non stacking.
the complete description they should have on it should state will not stack on multiple armor pieces but will stack on anything else that provides an inherent absorb bonus to protection.
but that is kind of long

The Deep is an environment which is highly susceptitble to cookie-cutter becuse you need to know which monsters spawn, where they spawn and how to reat to them. Its not so much your skill that gets you through but its your skills. It does take some careful co-ordination but it doesn't merit being restricted to the 'elite' players because its not hard with the right build.
Welcome to Build Wars.

That means someone ran outside and triggerd the drop down Vamps and the Thought stealers, before you had trappt. 1 trapper can kill those with 5 trapps and Eoe solo. And it is a good Idea for all casters to move to back room right away. Then pull small groups and work, it is hard and a lot off ppl get pissed of and leave, and count on dying a couple of times per run, so no survivors in the group. candy canes is a good thing to bring or scrolls to work of DP

I really liked the Wammo earlier, I've nothing against Wammo's as I have one myself, who was stating in the general chat that he could "solo The Deep all day without dying once".
When I asked if I could "tag along" to get some pointers he/she promptly left.

Speaking of using solo builds in group missions...
His rationale is that he's better than a Warrior because he can self-heal...

You know, that was the reason why the elite missions were disclosed from the public to start with. I'm not defending the Factions System but in all honesty, a lot of people (including me) back then said that if the Elite Missions were ever to be opened to the public, the public would cry oceans about the difficulty.
Now the elitemissions ARE open to everyone. AAAND? The public cries oceans about the difficulty. I'm normally not the one to say this but, it was to be expected.
Well the truth is, the PVE Aspect is NOT difficult as soon as you understand the basic mechanisms behind Guild Wars. They're quite easy to understand, but the problem is, for most parts of Guild Wars you don't really need to understand them. You can just push your way through the game until someone comes up with a cookie cutter build for you. Sorry if this sounds arrogant, but once you've understood the game mechanics, you'll understand how small the hill was that you've thought of as a mountain.

I Put together 2 Pug teams today in the deep, with a load of first timers and did fine both runs.
I just had to check every1's build and take ppl who were willing to bring what was needed for the mission. I have no problem taking first timers as long as they listen and take what i ask.
But putting the team together was the most fun. Got called a noob loads of times for being a W/A and asking for ppl to show builds was amusing to see what some ppl use like a nuker with no meteor shower, echo or renewal.
Heres what i use for any1 wanting to know what to use in the deep:
3 W/A Shove, Recall with Icy weapons to use at the end. Shove because it cant miss like attacks can for the end boss mainly.
3 E/Me Renewal Nukers with Revealed or Inspired Enchantment. Renewal is better then Echo here because you can use it again sooner and 3 revealed enchants is good backup incase some leave or ss leaves.
1 N/ME SS/Shivers i also get them to bring Revealed Enchant, the more the better, and Enfeebling Blood helps to cast it on the Kanaxai Aspect's incase they go after casters, it saves lifes.
1 BiP just bringing some self heal and Well of Blood to get the corpses of the golems.
3 Monks, WoH/HP with aegis and prot spirit or condition removal chucked in and of course Rebirth
1 Rit Lord yes they r underused in deep But they really own. Using Communing with shelter, union, displacment and Earthbind is nice with all the kd's.
You can take a 4th monk instead of Rit lord but thats the basic Deep Build tried and tested.

Dang, Enchanted...didn't realize you were serious based on your last post.
If you want to switch up your character quickly to be able to go into the elite missions, all you need to do is...
1. Dump the Sentinel's armor and go get some 1.5K Gladiator's armor.
2. Have the following runes on your armor - superior absorption, major vigor, minor strength/tactics/swordsmanship.
3. Get a collector's max sword with 15% in a stance, and add a +5 defense sword pommel to it.
4. Change your attributes to 12 (10+1+1) tactics, 12 (11+1) strength, and 11 (10+1) swordsmanship.
5. Carry 3 defensive stances (preferably gladiator's defense), dolyak signet, watch yourself, riposte, deadly riposte and rez signet.
Your job is not to attack - you are there to have 5 enemies pounding on you at once and defending the best you can, while the casters rip apart the enemy for you.
Hopefully that helps and SHOULD make you survive much, much longer than your one hit!

Haven't had a chance to really go down yet (stupid job), but this reaction isn't any different than when Tombs first showed up. It was insanely difficult at first and took a very long time.
Now people have learned what to expect, learned the pattern and learned the optimum builds and tweaks to it as well as building decent pugs with lots of variation.

Who cares anyway they suck
The deep = enter room, split into teams, clear room, enter next room, game now inserts cut and paste mobs, rinse and repeat. I think its awfull they split the team into 3s, as it just means most groups want to do 4x mo/wa/el teams, meaning (most) necros/mesmers/rits have trouble getting into groups, and rangers/assasins may as well not bother unless they have friends, yea what "fun".
Urgoz = ohh guess what, enter room, game now inserts cut and paste mobs, yawn.
On both of this i simply had to quit out of sheer boredom, go knows what "wonders" would have awaited me if i had carried on, maybe even a gold staff with 3 attribute mods, woot.

I tried 4 times, 4 times I was in the last group that survived - and then the other rooms start bailing while we are still fighting

Heh, found a good group easily... All you have to do is scan what professions are there, check it out - if it's not what it should be - you bail. Simple.

Vent or TS are a must for Pug's. Its just too much of a pain to try and get everyone on the same page via typing, plus you can usually tell who the weiners are on vent or ts...much easier to ask someone about their build before you go in. And much easier to yell 'Doofus I said DO NOT agro the Leviathan'

Personally I loved this mission.. we got to room 8 as a guild group with NO WARRIORS
We only died at room 8 because none of us researched the room at all and didn't realise fighting the 3 groups would be a damn impossible task without setting up a few eoe bombs in the corner you can snag the groups in.
I loved the mission..... on the other hand the drops were less than impressive.. I kid you not when I say the nest thing I got was a purple Bo staff with +4 ele armour while hex'd....
Wow... just wow... increased drops my a**
Will be doing it as a guild tomorrow and this time no prisoners and absolutely no warriors (only because we like to break the mould.)
P.S heres what we had....
3 trappers 1 with EoE
1 damage ranger (no idea on the build).
1 necro (ss)
2 mesmers (1 interupt +hex cond removal and 1 with degen/hex build)
1 assassin using some kind of kd/snare build.
1 rit (shelter/restoration etc)
2 monks (1 WoH/prot and another monk which again i can't remember much of.)
11 members that all had great fun
